Embedded Protocol Stack Engineer – WCDMA/Layer 1

Our client is a major developer and vendor of semiconductor components for the latest HDTV, DVD and wireless products on the market. They are seeking an embedded Protocol Stack Engineer with extensive exposure to Layer 1.

This embedded protocol stack role will consist of you focusing on design of a Layer 1 network simulator. Experience with design, implementation and test of Layer1 controls is essential and development of wireless protocol stack test equipment would be advantageous.

You as the ideal engineer should possess a good relevant degree along with the following skills and knowledge in:
- extensive knowledge within the physical layer 1
- WCDMA
- experience of design, implementation and test of network Layer 1 control
- developing UMTS mobile phone protocol stack test equipment
- UMTS technology through to R7 HSPA+
- C
- UMTS handset conformance and test cases.
